Zuzana Bahulova, MgA., Ph.D. is a Czech-born multidisciplinary visual artist whose work includes painting, animation and design. She studied painting at the School of Applied Arts and Design and earned her PhD in animation at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. Her artistic journey also led her to further studies in Switzerland, Poland and at the renowned California Institute of the Arts (CalArts).

In recent years, Zuzana has focused primarily on oil painting. Nature is her greatest source of inspiration, and her canvases often carry an expressive touch with deep blue and violet tones reminiscent of water reflections. This visual language is closely connected to her past as a professional rower who spent much of her life on rivers and lakes.

The exhibition Mountain Feelings – Arlberg Impressions marks a new chapter in her work. Here, the motion of water gives way to the stillness of the mountains. The strength, silence, and luminous air of the Arlberg have become her new source of inspiration. In her paintings Zuzana has captured her perception of the fantastic mountain landscapes around Zürs and Lech in all seasons.

Zuzana exhibited in Basel at Fine Art Week, in Brussels, Prague, and other European cities. Her works are part of permanent museum collections in Prague and Brno. She has received prestigious international recognitions such as the Red Dot Design Award and the German Innovation Award and her design work was showcased at five Olympic Games.
